Daranelas was founded on March 2nd 2005, even if the dream of a idyllic village was in the mind of Mr. William C. Lodestone long time before. All began with Roma Daranelas, a beautiful italian woman William met in one of his business trips. They become friends (William stayed in the same hotel where Roma was working), and soon Williams' trips to Italy become more frecuents. One day, William confesed his love for Roma and she didn't say anything, she just kissed him and then both looked at each other with a big smile in their faces. William left all his life before and moved to Italy. They worked in the same hotel hard everyday in a hard time where to have a work was a privilege that not eveyone could reach. Roma love animals so much that she become vegan. She made William understand every life is important so sooner he become vegan too. Always dreaming about a better world, a better place to live, with no bad news, no bad people, no bad things... They used to imaging theirselves founding a little village, creating a magic place where life would be quiet and peaceful.

One day the dream become true. William and Roma used to buy lottery with the rest of the people who worked in the hotel, and one day they win! It was a shared price so they didn't become exactly rich, but with the money they buy a piece of land in a far place between the mountains. They called it 'Daranelas', like the last name of Roma, in honour to her family, who recieved William in their houses (when he move to Italy) like he was part of the big Daranelas' family (in fact, he become part of it).

Legal affairs weren't a problem, William knew how handle with it thanks to his job before, when he lived in San Francisco. So, Daranelas, the village, become true. People started hearing about that beautiful place "where only good things happens" and started to buy farms around it, making Daranelas bigger. Even so, Daranelas is a little village, a magic one formed from the dream of two lovers. Not a conventional place, not a conventional neighbourhood, not conventional citizens, not conventional at all... but so special that you would like to live in.

Daranelas simbol (two lines and a circle) was created by Roma when she was trying to paint an angel for her nephew (named Roma like her). "I'm not a good painter honey", she told her nephew. "I can see it auntie, that's not an angel!". "Yes, it is", she replied, "simple things are usually stronger that complicated ones honey. You see, Love is very simple, only a feeling, and even so is the strongest force of this world." After that, little Roma look at that two lines and the circle again and then put a big smile on her little face. She understood. William heard that story and made of 'that angel' the simbol of Daranelas.

A crazy mind like mine is always thinking, creating, dreaming... In one of those dreams I was in Daranelas, I met their people, their streets, I saw the beautiful landscape they were rounded of, I felt their magic eveywhere. Maybe it was just my vision of the perfect world. I'm a huge fan of magic tv series like Northern Exposure, Gilmore Girls and Everwood. Special villages with very peculiar people with very peculiar stories to tell. That was my inspiration to create this site, a place you can live for a moment, our own magic village where we can let the imagination fly away, where we can be ourselves or those we want to be.
